Your tasks are personal. We treat them that way. This page explains what Dott stores, what it never touches, and how to get your data back out.

What we collect

An email address when you join the waitlist or make an account, the tasks and lists you write, and basic usage events such as when the app opens or a task is completed. That is the whole list.

What we don’t collect

No contacts, no location, no microphone access unless you start a voice entry yourself, and no advertising identifiers. We do not buy data about you from anyone else.

How your tasks are stored

Tasks are encrypted in transit and at rest. Voice entries are converted to text and the audio is discarded once the task is created.

Who can see your data

You. A small number of our engineers can access production systems when something breaks, under audit. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Analytics

We measure how features are used in aggregate so we know what to fix. Analytics events never contain the text of your tasks.

Your choices

You can export everything as a plain text or JSON file, and you can delete your account at any time. Deletion removes your tasks from live systems immediately and from backups within thirty days.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will email you before it takes effect — not after.
